Cookie Policy

Effective Date: 13/07/2026

This Cookie Policy explains how DocMap Ltd ("DocMap", "we", "us") uses cookies and similar technologies when you use the DocMap patient platform at docmap.co.uk. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.

What are cookies and similar technologies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We also use browser storage (such as localStorage) for strictly necessary functions like keeping you signed in and remembering your cookie preferences.

Categories we use

Strictly necessary

Required for the site to function — for example, authentication tokens, session management, your language preference (LOCALE cookie), and your cookie consent record (consent.v1, retained for 12 months). These cannot be switched off.

Functional

Remember settings such as your language preference and search filters so you do not have to re-enter them.

Analytics

Help us understand which pages are used and where users encounter problems. Provided by Google Firebase Analytics. Only activated if you consent via our cookie banner.

Session replay

Short, masked recordings of signup screens only, to help us identify usability issues. All text inputs are masked by default. Provided by PostHog (EU region). Only activated if you consent.

What this policy does not cover

This policy covers the DocMap patient platform only. It does not cover: the embeddable DocMap Concierge widget on third-party clinic websites (which uses sessionStorage for consent, not cookies); the WhatsApp Specialist Triage service; or third-party sites you reach via links from DocMap.

How to change your preferences

When you first visit the platform, you can Accept all, Reject all, or Customise your choices via our cookie banner. You can reopen your preferences at any time from the "Cookie preferences" link in the site footer.
