About

"I have dedicated the past 13 years of my life to helping people to achieve better health, confidence, and quality of life through nutrition. Early on in my career, I helped people with all kinds of health conditions, mostly people who needed to gain weight! Around 6 years ago, I started working with people living with obesity, and I have never looked back. There is nothing more rewarding that seeing someone who has struggled with their weight all their life, completely change their relationship with food and finally lose weight and keep the weight off. I have worked with world class bariatric teams both within the NHS and private sector. I have helped hundreds of patients who have undergone all types of surgical weight loss procedures, intragastric balloon placements, and more recently, those who are on GLP1 medications. I am also love partaking in sports and exercise. I have competed in may fitness competitions over the years such as body building and crossfit. I decided I wanted to put my passion to good use and in 2022 I completed a postgraduate diploma in sports nutrition with the International Olympic Committee. Since then I have worked with individuals and sports teams alike, helping athletes to improve their performance through nutrition."

Highlights

Everything I ask my patients to do, I have trialed myself so that I can identify with them.
My primary clinical focus is weight management. I work with people pre-and post-bariatric surgery, on medical weight management such as GLP1
In 2023 I undertook training in advanced bariatric nutrition. This allowed me to deepen my knowledge of obesity as a condition and management

Therapeutic Approach

  • I educate on evidence-based nutrition, but adapt it to the patients lifestyle, helping them to fit dietary strategies into their daily life.
  • A patient once left me an anonymous review stating that I had changed her life for the better through my support and guidance. It is moments like these that make me proud to be a dietitian.
  • I have always been interested in nutrition and as a child I used to watch nutrition programmes such as "You Are What You Eat". I realised early on that there was a lot of misinformation about nutrition out there and I wanted to do something about it.
  • "I love exercise, particularly hillwalking and crossfit training. I have learned what does and doesn't work by applying evidence-based nutrition to my own sports! I also enjoy reading, going to the cinema and travelling. I spend a lot of time with my husband, family and friends, keeping connections strong. These activities help me to feel ""in the moment"" and allow me to relax and top up my glass.
