About

Fredrica graduated as a Dietitian from The University of North London in 1998. After graduating, she started working at The Whittington Hospital on the Stroke and Surgical wards specialising in Nutrition Support and Tube Feeding. It is during this period where she developed a passion with working with patients with feeding tubes. In 2000, Fredrica worked as locum for one year before moving on to work in the community with Parkside NHS Trust in 2001. During her time at Parkside NHS Trust, she worked with adults specialising in tube feeding, nutrition support, weight management and gastroenterology. She was also responsible for educational activities for staff across care homes and rehab services. Fredrica moved on to work for Westminster Primary Care Trust in 2002 and her responsibilities included setting up the childhood obesity and the paediatric tube feeding services. In 2008, Fredrica took up a post as Home Enteral Tube Feed Lead for Central London Community HealthCare NHS Trust. During this period, Fredrica gained valuable experience which led to her having an extended role. She had the opportunity to gain work-based competencies with changing balloon retained gastrostomy tubes, changing tube ends and troubleshooting to avoid unnecessary A&E visits for patients. Fredrica started taking on some private work alongside her NHS role in 2015.
