Omar ShaikhCardiologist

Dr Shaikh graduated from Imperial College London with a First class BSc In Management and Distinction in medical sciences, amongst other prizes in 2013. He underwent his initial training in Birmingham and completed MRCP in 2016 and then went to East of England to complete his Cardiology training. This included time at the world-renowned Royal Papworth Hospital where he spent 2 years gaining experience in cardiac electrophysiology. To further his training, he spent 15 months at prestigious Royal Bournemouth Hospital, learning simple and complex ablation procedures to treat rhythm disorders and device implantation including pacemakers, defibrillators and cardiac resynchronisation therapy. He was appointed as a Consultant Cardiologist at Royal Worcester and Coventry Hospitals in November 2023.
